What is the difference between Quick Quote and Tailored Quote?
Quick Quote instantly calculates Ocean, Air and Rail rates from your inputs and available rates. Tailored Quote provides a personal proposal for special cargo, road transport, specific requirements or a route without an immediately available rate.
Which costs are included?
The result lists the charges included, including selected additional services. Check your route, Incoterm, quantities and delivery address. Import duties and VAT are not automatically included. Storage, waiting time or changed shipment details may lead to additional charges; the quote and its conditions define the final scope.
Why can’t I book every rate directly?
For an indicative rate, we first check the current price, availability and conditions. You can request a quote based on your calculation. Once the rate has been checked, we discuss the booking options with you.
Can I book directly and do I need an account?
Yes, you can also book without an account. After calculating your rate in Quick Quote, choose ‘Prefer to book without an account?’. This opens an email with your calculation details. Send it to us; we check the details and availability and personally confirm your booking. With an account, you can also book through the customer portal and track your shipment. A calculation or sent email is not yet a confirmed booking. Sign in to see your agreed customer rates.
How long is a rate valid and how is currency converted?
Validity is shown with the rate or on your quote. Departure dates and conditions may also determine eligibility. For dollar charges, the calculator shows the conversion used to calculate euros. Recalculate if your shipment details change, or ask us to check the rate.
What information do I need for an enquiry?
Have the origin and delivery location, Incoterm, preferred departure date and cargo description ready. Include quantities, dimensions and gross weight, or the required container type. Tell us whether you need collection, delivery, customs clearance or insurance. Special or dangerous goods require additional information.
What does shipment tracking show?
You can view available status updates, documents and planned and actual departure and arrival dates. ETD and ETA are estimates; ATD and ATA are added when actual departure or arrival is known. The overview reflects information received and processed by us and our partners. It is not continuous GPS tracking.
Can I speak to someone first?
Of course. Call or email us to discuss your route, schedule or calculation. Include your reference if you already have an enquiry or shipment, so we can help you efficiently. We will respond personally as soon as possible.
